19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized the Russian player secured his initial championship for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has endured a torrid year, winning just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in particular - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with former trainer his previous coach.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought competitive victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's initial trophy following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt after that period of 2023.
The win also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my children simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, including in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted observers to wonder if his ability to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, supported by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the first set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair traded service breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional championship, took control to force a third set.
He defended 4 initial chances in a competitive final set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
